What's On My Ipod

Well recently I deleted all my music on my Ipod. No specific reason like music is haram just felt like I needed a positive change within my life.

In search for new positive music which will focus my mind more on Allah than the materialistic world. I found so many brothers and sisters in this deen making movements in the industry. http://www.muslimhiphop.com/

You need to check out Masikah and his album 'Iconoclast'.

I like hip hop but the one thing I can't stand is the constant degrading women. I found myself playing into a lot of the time. Like I don't need a man because I got my own. In this album you will proud a Muslim brother respecting the work and struggle of sisters in Islam.

If You ain't heard of Poetic Pilgrimage where have you been?

These sister are on a 'Journey to the Stars' for real. They spit the truth mashallah. They uplift my spirit with there lyrics. Its nothing like you have ever heard before, its totally original. They say what people are thinking especially me. Big Ups!!!

They got other music out which you should look out for causethey are doing big tings. Its a must to add to the collection.. http://www.myspace.com/poeticpilgrimage They even have twitter..http://twitter.com/#!/poeticpilgrim

Another favorite of mine is group called Native Deen, they are truly sensational and have voices to glorify the name of Allah. They have many nasheeds and also other songs which have a more rhythmic beat to it. There Album 'Not Afraid to Stand Alone' is not the norm to Islam however it praise thee all knowing all the same.

Visit there website now at http://www.nativedeen.com/ns/

I also like to listen to lectures as I feel as it teaches me to a better knowledge of Islam. If you find a good lecturer you like download it and upload it on a CD and send it to your friends and family muslim and non muslim as a form of da'wah.

On my Ipod I listen to Dr Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips who is world renowned for his lectures and teachings.

Check him out and download at http://www.bilalphilips.com/

Remember Every Deed Counts. Peace..x
